ben has been dying to get out the nativity set, so we finally found it tonight. a couple years ago we got the fisher price one that is pretty indestructible- so sam got to play, too. it was fun to watch them playing with it. ben made a backyard around the stable (notice the gas pump is part of the fence- i guess the animals had to stop at QT even in Jesus' time!) he lined up all the little people and told me, "Jesus is going for a donkey ride at his first birthday party, the angels have to wait in line for a ride." we keep talking about Christmas is Jesus' birthday...so i guess pony rides and all are in order! meanwhile, sam ate the manger (we made to sure baby Jesus wasn't in there) and the sheep.
