The weekend of Thanksgiving we went to Uncle Elgar's Tree Farm to get our Christmas Tree.
This is the last year Uncle Elgar will have the farm open and he asked Ben to "help" while we were at the farm- which Ben was very excited about! Elgar gave Ben the stocking cap he has on in the picture and Ben hasn't taken it off since he got it- he wears it to school every day!
Sam, of course, wanted to help, too. They had a blast "helping," and Ben was even in the Missourian newspaper with Unlce Elgar!
Before we headed home, we tried to bail the boys for the ride home--didn't work, they still managed to wriggle free!
Between Thanksgiving and Sam's birthday, we've had:
The boy's first slumber party with Ethan and Elliott!
Pictures with Santa...Sam not so keen on Santa, yet.
Ben finished his basketball class-- the above picture is way out of focus, but we did catch Ben making a basket!
Ben (beaming with his medal)- left side, middle row
Ben's First Christmas Music Concert at School(Ben w/ his teacher, Ms. Hollander)
I thought it was hillarious that when I dropped Ben off backstage for the concert he was looking very sharp with his little tie and his sweater OVER the tie, like you normally would wear it, and then he came out on stage with this bright red tie hanging out of his sweater- he said he thought it looked better that way. I love kindergarten independence- too funny!
