boys and puppies

i've always thought there were a lot of similarities between boys and puppies - they both like playing, dirt, chewing on things, getting underfoot, etc. but sam has taken these similarities to a new level. he has ALWAYS thought feet are funny- we haven't been able to keep anybodies shoes inside until just recently because he would try to chew on them! and he LOVEs to go after your feet, especially if you don't have shoes on. he will actually try to gnaw on your foot! (his little teeth are sharp like a puppies, too!) and if you tickle him with your feet- you have never seen that kid giggle harder!!!

well, maybe it's just a foot phetish- he does like to gnaw on his own toes, too. in fact, when he falls asleep, it's usually in this position:

and that's not because he was sitting up, got tired and then just fell forward and fell asleep...he has usually been gnawing on his toes and thus fell asleep like this!

his newest trick is to camp out under the kitchen table, specifically under ben's chair- and clean up any crumbs ben may have dropped during the last meal. Yes, this grosses me out and i feel like i have to clean up the floor after EVERY meal so sam doesn't decide to have a snack on leftover scraps. (and i know ben is getting sick of me yelling, "eat over your plate!!!") but, some days- i just can't keep up- oh well! i guess a little dirt with his snack can't hurt tooooo much (ugh!!!).

I really enjoyed this post - true the similarities are eery. I'm a little worried, Athena chews on shoes too. Eeks!
As far as the dirt covered snacks, oh well it could be worse they could be chocolate covered! :) We'll leave those for the mommies.
